Effective inventory management is essential for sellers to maintain operational efficiency, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demand while avoiding overstocking or understocking. ChannelMAX offers a solution to facilitate this by enabling the inventory feed functionality for Seller Fulfilled (FBM) SKUs. This feature would attract an additional $24.99 per month, however, the pricing would vary depending on the total number of SKUs present on your account. The following steps outline the process for configuring this feature on your ChannelMAX account:
Step 1: Configuration of ChannelMAX Settings
-
Navigate to Settings > Account > Selling Venues > Amazon USA (or any other applicable Amazon selling venue).
-
Enable the following options:
Set 4(a). Inv. Adjustment to YES, and then click on Save Auto Fulfill Settings.
Set 3(a). Order Download to YE,S and then click on Save Post Sale Settings.
Optional Configuration: Inventory Profile Setup
To create a tailored inventory profile, go to Settings > Inventory > Inventory Profile and select Copy to create a new profile. This configuration is useful if different inventory levels are required for specific SKUs.
For example:
To limit inventory feed to a specific quantity for a batch of SKUs (e.g., feeding only 2 units per process), configure the following:
Set Allocation in Percent to 100.
In the Qty Not More Than column, input "2" for the applicable selling venue (e.g., Amazon US).
Customize other settings like When No Stock and Lead Time To Ship as required.
Additional profiles can also be created by repeating this process and configuring them as needed.
Note:
If the complete warehouse inventory is to be fed to Amazon, set Allocation in Percent to 100 and save the changes.
When using multiple inventory profiles, ensure the InventoryProfileID column is accurately populated in the uploaded file to correctly assign SKUs.
Step 2: Uploading the Inventory File
Prepare a spreadsheet containing the following column headers and populate it with the relevant data:
-
-
SKU
-
ASIN
-
SellingVenue
-
MaxSellingPrice
-
Quantity
-
MinSellingPrice (optional; only required for repricing)
-
InventoryProfileID (optional; needed if using non-default or multiple inventory profiles)
-
Save the above data in tab-delimited text format and upload it to your ChannelMAX account by navigating to Inventory > FileUploader > Analyze New File. Select the file from your computer and click Upload File Content To ChannelMAX. Here is the sample file.
Important: The quantity specified in the file should match your actual warehouse quantity for the respective SKUs.
Step 3: Settings Verification
Once the above steps are completed, open a support ticket or email support@channelmax.net to request validation of your account settings for activating the inventory feed function. A support team member will review your configuration and update you if any changes are to be applied.
Step 4: Activation by ChannelMAX Admin
Upon receiving confirmation from your end, the support team will request the admin to schedule the feature on the server. When it is completed, the support team will validate the account settings and ensure the inventory feed is functioning as per your configuration.
