Walmart Authentication Guide

This article provides a step-by-step process for authenticating your Walmart account and enabling the permissions needed to link your Walmart account with ChannelMAX.

Authentication Steps

Log in to Your Walmart Account

 1. Click on the Settings icon located at the top-right corner of the screen.

   2. Scroll down to the bottom-left of the screen and navigate to API> Consumer ID & Private Keys> API Key Management.

   3. Clicking on API Key Management will prompt you to sign in to the Developer Portal

  4. As a next step, create a new key for ChannelMAX by clicking 'Add New Key for a Solution Provider'. Now, click on the 'New Delegated Access Key' panel, from the dropdown menu, select ChannelMAX, and click Next.

5. When you click on Next, you are navigated to the Permissions page, in which you can click on Submit to generate the Client ID and Secret Key for ChannelMAX. Once completed, ChannelMAX will appear under API  Keys → Production Keys as pointed in the screenshot below;

6. Finally, click on the Permissions icon for ChannelMAX and provide the permissions for the following sections, and click Submit to save the changes.

(i) Get Feeds >View Only

(ii) Item Management> Content, Items, Inventory, and Price >Full Access

(iii) Settings, Rules & Admin>Reports>View Only

7.  The ClientID and Secret Key generated as outlined need to be saved in your ChannelMAX account by navigating to Settings>Account>Selling Venues>WmtUS under the Connection section.
